Kids open new Tesco store

CHILDREN from Brookhill Leys Primary School in Eastwood opened the new Tesco store at Hilltop.

Kids cut the ribbon and store manager Darren Burrows donated £500 to the school.

Headteacher Jacquie Sainsbury said: “I would like to thank Tesco for this generous donation, which will go towards a reading scheme for our older children.”

Tesco Express store manager Darren said: “We were delighted to be able to support Brookhill Leys Primary and Nursery School as they are such a wonderful community school. We are so pleased that some of their youngsters came to launch the new store, and join in the celebrations with us.”

“My staff and I are really enjoying welcoming our customers into the new store and we hope that Tesco will become a key part of the local community.”

The store is now open from 6am until 11pm, seven days a week, and has a cash machine, National Lottery Counter, bakery, beers, wines and spirits and two self-service tills. There ares 12 free car parking spaces.
