a NEW charity shop opened up in Eastwood this week.
Shoppers had their first chance to have a look in the new Salvation Army shop in Nottingham Road on Tuesday, April 26.
After a red carpet opening ceremony that included a blessing from local Salvation Army representatives, manager Christine Spencer and her team of staff and volunteers welcomed a crowd of customers eager to pick up a few bargains from the store.
“We’ve been very busy getting the shop ready for a while now and the response from local residents has been fantastic,” said Christine.
The shop sells quality donated goods including clothes, accessories, bric-a-brac and household goods.
