As your little ones break up for the Christmas holidays, we are taking a look at the fantastic nativity plays they have been involved with as part of end of term celebrations.

Years One, Two and Foundation Two at Brookhill Leys Primary School held a traditional nativity play complete with angels and shepherds, as did Selston’s Church of England Primary School where the play was very bright and sparkly.

Children in Foundation classes at Nuthall’s Mornington Primary School also delighted audiences with a heart-warming production called ‘The Tiptoe Nativity’.

Pupils at Awsworth Primary School brought joy to their school hall with a sparkling play ‘Whoops-A-Daisy Angel’ which starred Victoria Johnson in the title role and included a 30-strong choir, while the nursery classes performed ‘Cora the Curious Sheep’.

Finally, Larkfields Junior School in Nuthall merged two popular plays - Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘The Sound of Music’ - to create ‘The Sound of Christmas’.

The story saw mean-spirited baddies shown the error of their ways and the true meaning of Christmas.
