Cheque for panto trip

A COUNCILLOR who runs a charity shop in Kimberley donated £250 to the town’s pensioners group.

Robert Sears-Piccavey, a councillor in Underwood and owner of the Charity Chest shop in Kimberley, presented the cheque to group members at a recent meeting.

The money paid for them to go to a pantomime production of Dick Whittington.

It is the second time Cllr Sears-Piccavey has donated the Kimberley Pensioners’ Group money.

The last time he paid for them to go to the theatre.

President Anne Carr said: “We are really grateful for his support. It came as a nice surprise.”
