AN Eastwood church will celebrate its 40th anniversary this weekend.
The congregation at Eastwood United Reformed Church will be putting on tea and cake and a special service to mark the milestone.
A coffee morning will be held on Saturday between 10am and 2pm and a service led by Rev Peter Meek will be held on Sunday at 5pm.
Eastwood Ladies Choir will sing and the service will be followed by tea and cake.
Church member Margaret Palfreyman-Bildulph said: “We are looking forward to welcoming back some of our previous ministers and friends.”
The church started life in 1868 in Nottingham Road, which is now Iceland. It moved to smaller premises in Alexandra Street in the early 1970s.
