Here are some the winning entries in our children’s Easter egg colouring competition.
We challenged youngsters aged up to 14 to colouring in a blank Easter egg printed in the Ilkeston Advertiser, with the best ones winning a chocolate Easter egg.
There were some brilliant designs and it was difficilt to chose the three winners in the end – you are all such good artists!
Editor Martin Hutton said: “It was a pleasure to see all the eggs young readers had
coloured – they must have spent hours getting them to look so good. We were bowled over with how bright and well drawn they were.
“Some of you had even added things like materials to your eggs to make them really stand out. There was also Easter bunnies and beautiful bows.
“I’m really pleased to be able to share the winning entries with readers of the ‘Tiser here.
“It was really hard to chose the eventual winners. But congratgulations to our three top artists.”
The winners were ten-year-old Megan Riley, of Garden Road, Eastwood, six-year-old Ruby Annable, of Dervby Road Eastwood and 11-year-old Louise Housley, of Nethergreen, Eastwood.
Louise’s mum, Lisa Housley, said: “She was over the moon to hear she had won. It’s great.”
Well done to our winners, who each scoop a tasty chocolate Easter egg.
