Concern at lack of local HS2 exhibition

Broxtowe MP Anna Soubry has written to the bosses of the high speed HS2 train to complain that there is no exhibition on the plans taking place in the borough.

Exhibitions to outline the plans for the train, running from London to Birmingham, will take place at Bilborough College and in Long Eaton, but none have been planned in Broxtowe and Ms Soubry says it is unacceptable.

The MP said: “This is all far from satisfactory and so I have written to HS2 requesting an exhibition of plans at Toton, Trowell and Nuthall.”

The train is planned to run alongside the M1 – going through the middle of Nuthall.

The public consultation runs until January next year.
