A CRAFT making group wowed villagers with a display of its work this week.
Jacksdale-based Nimble Fingers opened the doors of the village community centre on Main Road for its yearly spring bazaar on Saturday. The 40-strong group raised £160 through ten stalls selling home-made arts, knitted goods and sumptuous cakes. The creative bunch sold jewellery and cards alongside teddies made from the brushed hair of a border collie and sets of gloves – spun from plastic! Organiser Jacky Starke said the group, which next meets on April 21 at the community centre, is a great way of getting away from it all. She said: “It’s about like-minded people coming together, having a bit of fun, a natter and a cup of tea.”
