Long Eaton teen assaulted

Police in Long Eaton are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted as he walked to the supermarket.

At around 9.20pm on Friday March 30 the 17-year-old victim and his girlfriend were walking over a bridge on Nottingham Road near ASDA when they were approached by a young man on a bicycle.

The rider head butted the victim before pushing him over and punching him.

The victim and his girlfriend managed to get away and report the assault to police.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the incident.
