An Ashfield woman has ended up paying almost £200 in court costs after she stole two cans of lager from a shopping centre.

Siobhan Siddall, 37, of Chapel Street, Kirkby, pleaded guilty to stealing two cans of Stella from B&M Bargains at the Idlewells Shopping Centre in Sutton, a court heard yesterday (October 29).

Mansfield magistrates heard how Siddall had taken the cans, worth a total of £2, from a four-pack of lager in the store on October 8.

The court then heard how the cans were confiscated and are believed to have still been in a sellable condition.
