Cub Scouts cycled around Carsington Water to raise money and help one of the boys in the group achieve his Silver Award.

The Greasley Cubs, aged between eight and 16, helped Levi Ensor gain the new badge, which is one of the top achievements for his age group. At the same time, they raised money for a new Scout hut.

Cub Scout Leader, Elaine Long, said: “Carsington provides a great place to do something like this and just added to the enjoyment.

“Levi learned how to ride and maintain his bike and run an activity for the group. He has a mature and determined outlook.”
