THe winner and a finalist from the talent show ‘So You think You Can Dance?’ are hosting a dancing event for kids in Kimberley.
Matt Flint and Tom Shilcock – who have danced with stars including Rhianna and Mariah Carey – are hosting dance workshops at the Kimberley Leisure Centre as a one off event in Nottinghamshire.
The pair say they want to ‘give something back’ after their successes on the BBC1 hit tv show, hosted by Cat Deeley and judged by celebrities Arlene Phillips and Louise Redknapp.
Tom, who lives in Mansfield, said: “It’s just to give something back and share our experience of the industry and what we have done.
“When I was training there wasn’t any of that around, and I would have really benefited from it.
“It’s for them to come along and join in all the activities and have a good time.”
There will be jazz, tap, hip hop and street dance workshops as well as competitions.
Tom, 24 has danced with several celebrities and appeared at the Royal Variety Show and Matt, aged 30, has choreographed on Strictly Come Dancing and has appeared in 12 West End musicals.
The event, which will be held annually if its a hit, will take place on June 10 between 10am and 5pm and is open to anyone aged eight and over.
Entry is £6 for kids and £8.50 for adults.
All profits made will go into hosting the event.
