REFUSE collections in a Kimberley park have been increased after complaints about dog fouling and litter.
Kimberley councillor Andy Cooper received complaints about the state of Hall Om Wong Park, which was described as a ‘disgraceful sight’.
The refuse collection team at Kimberley depot has now increased the rota from two collections a week to three.
Cllr Cooper contacted local police officers to make them aware of the complaints, many of which said the state of the park was at its worse on Monday mornings after people had been out walking their dogs on Sundays.
The refuse collection team has also agreed to monitor other areas in Kimberley and do an ‘extensive clean up’ of verges along the A610 by-pass.
