Easter chicks beat fundraising record

THE Nuthall and Greasley branch of Cancer Research UK has this week this week thanked everyone involved and it raised more money than ever before during its Easter campaign.

The group raised £4,947 by selling knitted Easter chicks. Committee members worked together to knit and stitch little Easter chicks which they then sold in shops, doctors’ surgeries, hairdressers, schools and many other outlets in the local area. Some chicks even ventured as far as Australia, Lanzarote and Cairo.
