Young first aiders from Eastwood have reached the regional final of the annual St John Ambulance National Schools’ First Aid Competition.
A team from Brookhill Leys Primary School, in Eastwood, will be competing in Newark on Sunday.
Mo Costin, youth commissioner with St John Ambulance Nottinghamshire, said: “It was an exceptional year for Nottinghamshire schools in 2010 and we hope that this year will be as successful.
“The standards are going to be very high but the team from Eastwood has been rehearsing really hard and we wish them success in Sunday’s competition.
“Young people who are trained in first aid can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.”
