Educational meadow for kids

An area of land at an Eastwood school is being transformed into a wildlife meadow and learning centre.

Volunteers will revamp the land at the Priory Roman Catholic School so it can be used to grow flowers and vegetables and so kids can appreciate different birds and insects.

Teacher Katherine Poulson, leading the project, said: “This will allow children to get involved in outdoor activity, enjoy natures riches and learn how to grow and produce fruit and vegetables.”

Various trees have also been planted and teachers hope it will help the school achieve a green flag award.
