Children will be having an egg-cellent time making crafts and hunting chocolate Easter eggs this Bank Holiday weekend.
Various events have been held already throughout the week at schools and community groups across Eastwood and Kimberley.
Kids at Lynncroft Primary School joined in an Easter egg hunt held by the Broxtowe Women’s Project on Wednesday, and at Watnall Pre-School Playgroup, toddlers did their annual egg rolling event – albeit indoors because of the snow.
The Eastwood and Greasley Cancer Research UK Committee have been doing their usual fundraising this Esater, selling little knitted chicks.
The ladies in the group all club together to knit the baby chicks, before selling them with a Cadbury’s Cream Egg inside to raise money for the charity.
Workshops will be held at the DH Lawrence Heritage Centre in Eastwood over the next couple of weeks where kids will be able to decorate Easter eggs, make Easter placemats, and join in more Easter egg hunts at the Lawrence Birthplace Museum.
Call 01773 717353 for more information about the workshops, taking place over the next two weeks.
