Event celebrates cultural diversity across Broxtowe

FAMILIES will descend on Kimberley Primary School later this month to celebrate the diversity of faith and culture across the borough.

Spring Celebration will take place on May 25 at Kimberley Primary School and will offer food tasting, dance workshops, arts and crafts, and performances from pupils.

It will celebrate a host of spring festivals from a range of cultures, including Holi, Vaisakhi, Easter, Jewish Passover, Japanese Children’s Day and Muhammad’s Birthday.

The organising group is called The Broxtowe Community Celebration Group and comprises a committed band of volunteers.

The group is supported by officers from Broxtowe Borough Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and NHS Nottinghamshire County.

The event will take place between 3.30pm and 5.30pm.

For more information and to help shape future celebrations call Broxtowe Borough Council on 0115 917 3657 or email jayne.fletcher@broxtowe.gov.uk.
