Event to celebrate Dickens

Events are being held across Nottinghamshire to celebrate 200 years since the birth of Charles Dickens.

To mark the anniversary on February 7, there are events planned at libraries across the county, organised by Nottinghamshire County Council.

The event in Broxtowe will be held at Beeston library on February 29 where there will be a lecture, readings, and a discussion with John Lucas – professor emeritus at Loughborough University and author of A Melancholy Man: a study of by Charles Dickens.
