Female driver cut from car in Eastwood after accident near school
A female driver had to be cut from her car by the fire and rescue service, after an accident today (November 16).
At approximately 3.25pm, fire and rescue crews from Eastwood and Ilkeston were mobilised to a road traffic accident on Chewton Street, Eastwood.
Crews had to cut the roof off to remove the woman from her car using hydraulic cutting equipment.
She was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
In a social media from Eastwood Fire Station, a spokesperson said: "We are aware this incident happened close to a school at the end of the school day, but we would appreciate it if members of the public follow any instructions given by the emergency services, and move along safely."
