Children at a school in Nuthall have been filling shoe boxes with Christmas gifts for poor kids in Africa.
Larkfields Infant School has been taking part in a scheme called Operation Christmas Child run by Samaritans Purse – an organisation that helps needy families in Africa, Eastern Europe and central Asia.
It is not the first time the school has took part in the scheme.
Teacher Isabella Piddubriwnyj said: “A note from one of the families that previously received them said ‘Children only need a few things to make them happy, and these gifts certainly do that’. It was wonderful.”
