Broxtowe borough’s ‘Friendship Agreement’ with Myszków, Poland was renewed following a successful visit to the Borough by Polish dignitaries.

The partnership with Myszków has been renewed by the Council who are keen to continue active working relationships with European and international partners and bring about the mutual benefits of learning, sharing and creating community links.

The Friendship Agreement was first established in August 2006 to add to the twinning arrangement that had been in place with Gütersloh since 1978. The agreement was extended for a further five years in 2009.

Since the agreement was made various initiatives and achievements have been made. Highlights include reciprocal visits by schools in Broxtowe and Myszków including Eastwood Junior School.
