A nursing home in Selston has been awarded full marks in their most recent inspection for the third year running.

Wren Hall Nursing Home on Nottingham Road, Selston, was inspected on August 20 and successfully met all the standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The routine inspection checked that the home was providing care that is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led and Wren Hall received a glowing report in all these areas.

The inspector said: “We saw that staff communicated warmly with people as they supported them and staff were caring and kind.

“People who used the service told us they received the care they needed in a timely manner and they were happy with the care.

“We saw care plans about different needs for different patients and saw these were reviewed regularly.”

The Selston nursing home was also praised for its variety of activities and for constantly improving the decorations in the residents’ rooms.

The service provides accomodation for 53 people who require nursing or personal care including those suffering from dementia, mental health conditions or physical disabilities.
