NEARLY 200 pupils at Nuthall’s Larkfields Junior School held an arts event to showcase their talents, inspired by a visit to a gallery.
Teacher Philip Wise organised a visit to the Nottingham Contemporary Gallery, which featured the work of American photographer Anne Collier and acclaimed US artist Jack Goldstein. On their return he challenged the 190 pupils to express themselves in the style of the art they had just seen.
The efforts of the pupils during the school’s arts event was impressive and displays of their work have been proudly exhibited in the school hall.
Mr Wise said: “Every pupil has made an effort to show off their hidden talents and the end product has resulted in some outstanding work.”
