Residentsd who attended an exhibition on a new mini village in Nuthall expressed ‘grave concern’ about the plans according to a local councilllor.
Nuthall councilllor Philip Owen said people were predominantly concerned about traffic issues.
“There was a lot of hostility from the local community,” he said.
“People expressed grave concern about traffic issues on the already saturated roads and the fact that the schools are already full and on tight sites so they can’t expand.”
Developers have said they will look at the possibility of building a small primary school or providing money for extra places. They said money had been set aside for the roads.
