FAMILIES will be turning back time to experience Victorian life in Eastwood this summer as guided tours make a return to the DH Lawrence Birthplace Museum.
Running from July 26 right through to the beginning of September as part of the DH Lawrence Festival, the guides will lead people around the quaint Victorian home where Lawrence was born.
Visitors will be invited to try their hand at traditional Victorian children’s games from whip and top, to marbles and rag-rug making.
Children can also enjoy a programme of craft activities at Durban House over the coming weeks as part of the festival.
The tours will be offered at the museum in Victoria Street, Eastwood, daily at 2.45pm.
Admission costs £5 for adults, £3.50 for juniors and is free for children under five.
Advance booking is highly recommended and discounts are available for Broxtowe leisure card holders.
