Halloween fancy dress parties were hosted last week by Team Revolution dance group and the Greasley Miners’ Welfare.

Dance principal Nichola Buckley organised a party for dancers at the Awsworth Parish Hall to reward them for all their hard work this year. Emily Johnson and Shannon Parkin were joint winners for best fancy dress.

At the Greasley Miners’ Welfare the social committee staged its third Halloween party and more than 40 kids took part in a fancy dress competition judged by Don Rowley, town councillor and president of Eastwood Probus Club, and his wife Marjorie.

Lexie Jae Wilkinson, Katie Wood and Jasmine Cooper were the chosen winners.
