A teenager injured in a hit and run is still in hospital.
Haydn Thomson, 19, was knocked downin the early hours of Saturday May 12.
The latest news updated on his Facebook page said that the teen had made improvements.
His mum, Gayna Cutts posted on Monday night: “An absolute fantastic day.
“Haydn has been awake all day, moving the best he can about the bed, lots of smiles by request.
“He nodded to his bro twice when he asked him questions, moving his lips saying ‘Water’ and ‘Get off,’ thumbs up and sat upright in bed.
“His vital signs are again textbook perfect, pulled his feed tube out and had another put back in.
“Awaiting an MRI scan again, they have decided.
“Thanks for your continued prayers and support.”
Almost 5,000 people follow his progress via the Support Haydn Thomson Group on the social networking site.
People continue to post messages of support and the group is now being encouraged to donate cash to the Queen’s Medical Centre’s Intensive Care and High Dependency Units.
