Homeless man stole bread to survive in Mansfield
Jamie Intress, 27, admitted stealing the bread from the Co-Op in Clipstone, on September 28, and food and cleaning items from the same store on November 2, last year.
The court heard he had 16 convictions for 28 offences, which included 15 matters of dishonesty.

Hide AdHe was last before the courts on December 3, 2015, when he was imprisoned for theft.
Chris Lacey, mitigating, said: “These offences were committed because he was homeless. It was food that was stolen because he was struggling to survive.”
The court heard Intress was released from prison on January 20 and had since found accommodation at Tideswell Court in Mansfield.
He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £15.
