Eastwood and Kimberley fell silent to mark the Centenery of the end of the First World War today (Sunday November 11)

In Eastwood, Rememberance Sunday began at St Mary’s Church, which was followed by armed forces and army veterans laying wreaths at the town’s cenotaph.

The town was decorated with poppies, including St. Mary’s Church.

Over in Kimberley, Armed Forces personnel past and present were joined by local dignitaries, civic leaders and community organisations, with a service at the newly refurbished war memorial.
