SCHOOL children visited Sainsburys supermarket in Kimberley to learn all about nutrition and healthy eating.
Two groups of 28 from Kimberley Primary School visited the store in Greens Lane as part of a healthy eating project.
Store trainer Vicky Gibson said: “We went and had a look at the fruit and vegetables and looked at where they came from, and what grows in England.
“We looked at the meats learning the difference between baked and cured for example, and then we had tasting sessions where all the children tried pumpkin seeds and went on to the bakery where they tried wholemeal bread.”
The children are currently looking at how to build a healthy sandwich as part of the project.
