Labour takes control of Nottinghamshire County Council

Labour has taken control of Nottinghamshire County Council.

The party took control of the Tory-run council after winning 34 seats in todays county council elections.

Labour gained 19 seats and lost just one.

The Tory party on the other hand won 21 seats, and lost 14.

The Liberal Democrats won eight seats, the Mansfield Independent Forum two and the Independent Party one.
