Eastwood MP Gloria De Piero has been invited to meet council bosses and workers from Broxtowe Borough Council to discuss some of the topical issues affecting Eastwood.
The meeting will take place between Gloria and the leader of the council, Milan Radulovic, today, October 25.
A large amount of the constituency casework Gloria receives on a daily basis is council-related.
At the top of the list of concerns for people in the Eastwood area are issues related to planning, protecting green spaces and anti-social behaviour.
As part of the meeting Gloria will be given a tour of the town hall in Beeston.
She will be given the opportunity to chat to the service directors and the workers who are ultimately responsible for dealing with the queries and concerns that her constituents have.
At the start of the 45-minute visit Gloria will be introduced to the chief executive, Ruth Hyde and the deputy chief executive, Malcolm Staley, before embarking on a whistle-stop tour of the housing, leisure and culture and the revenues and benefits departments at the council offices across the road.
Gloria was recently made the shadow minister for women and equalities.
