Eastwood MP Gloria De Piero will open a new state of the art sixth form study centre at Eastwood Comprehensive School.

The MP will cut a ribbon, and the school has had a special plaque made to commemorate the opening.

The study centre for post 16 students cost £60,000 and boasts a modern ICT suite and a socialising hub.

The new facilities have been designed to rival the best of those that are available in nearby schools or colleges and make Eastwood Comprehensive a more desirable place to study and encourage year 11 students to stay on and attract teens from further afield.
