The DH Lawrence Birthplace Museum in Eastwood will feature in an episode of the BBC’s Antiques Road Trip today, Friday February 17.
One of Britain’s best loved antiques experts, David Barby, will explore the writer’s family home and discover more about key artefacts within the museum’s collection.
Filmed at the historical literary site in August 2011 the show will draw a spotlight on some of the visitors attraction’s collection including Mrs Lawrence’s chiffonier and a coal carving made by DH Lawrence for his friend.
In 30 brand new episodes, the 12 antiques experts will all compete to make the most profit by the end of the week with a budget of just £200.
The programme will be aired at 5.15pm on BBC Two.
The museum opens at 11am Tuesday to Sunday.
