Business break-in

A business on Common Lane, Watnall was broken into between 3pm on Saturday April 12 and 7am on Monday April 14.

A window was removed and one laptop stolen. Anyone with information on the crime should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 and quote the incident number 000110-14042014.


The Eastwood Colliery Male Voice Choir will perform at St, Thomas Church, Somercotes on Saturday April 26, starting at 7.30pm.

Admission is £5 on the door and includes refreshments.

Church fair

A fundraising spring fair will be held at St Patrick’s Church, Nuthall, on Saturday April 26 (from 2pm until 4pm).

Attractions will include a tombola, raffle and stalls selling toys, home-made cakes,plants, China and glass. Admission free.

Alert raised

Police were called after a man on a pushbike was seen on a person’s driveway.

The man claimed he was looking for his dog on Barber Street, Eastwood but rode away when a person threatened to call the police. The male was described as black, aged between 20 and 25, around six feet tall and was wearing a grey hooded jacket. If you saw anything suspicious in the area, call 101 and give the incident number 000226-13042014.

Flat raid

A flat in The Sidings, Kimberley was broken into, with an XBox being stolen.

The incident took place on Monday April 14 between 9.30am and 12.20pm.
