Notts: Sponsored places for kids wanting to learn karate

The hunt is on for youngsters in Nottinghamshire wanting to try their hands at martial arts for free.

KalliKids Sponsored Child 2015 is looking for kids of all ages, from all walks of life, who would be interested in joining PKA martial arts school for free for a whole year.

However, there are only five spaces up for grabs in Nottinghamshire so make sure you apply soon if you are interested.

This is the second year KalliKids has run the Sponsored Child scheme and the activities offered across the country range from swimming, football and martial arts classes to extra tuition, yoga and life coaching.

Karen Bach, founder of KalliKids which is the UK’s accreditation for children’s activities and services, said that she would encourage all families to look at the sponsorships on offer.

She added: “Inspiring young people to take part in new activities is pivotal to everything we do.

“Not only does it further their skills but also helps nurture their confidence and social skills.”

It is absolutely free to apply and if selected, it is free to take part in the PKA martial arts school.
