Dog owners and their canine friends are invited to sniff out first prize at an annual novelty dog show when it returns on June 7.
The event will be hosted on Mansfield Recreation Ground on Sunday, June 7 from 12noon.
There will be rosettes awarded in a host of classes including waggiest tail, best mover and dog the judge would most like to take home, best crossbred and most handsome dog.
There will be prizes and plenty of treats for dogs taking part, as well as a range of activities such as Margaret Sutcliffe’s Responsible Dog Ownership course and a doggy agility challenge with Broxtowe Borough Council’s Neighbourhood Wardens.
A children’s dog handling event will be on offer during the interval with goodies pets and owners.
Visitors to the event will be able to browse around a wide variety of stalls and buy refreshments from the on-site bistro.
Admission to watch the event is free with a £2 charge per class entered.
Claire Bates, Heritage Services Manager at Broxtowe Borough Council said: “We are excited to see the return of this ever popular event which attracts local people of all ages each year, along with their pets. “The event promises to be a fun day out for all and there are even some new categories this year.”
