Charity NSPCC have launched a bobble hat day as part of a festive fundraising campaign to help Childline be there for children this Christmas.
The charity is asking people to wear a bobble hat for the day on December 10 and make a small donation to its Childline service which recieves a call every 20 seconds. A number of local organisations including Notts County Football Club and the Sheriff of Nottingham have already pledged their support. Deborah Chandos-Hall, NSPCC Head of Midlands Fundraising, said: “ Some of these children are going through the toughest times of their lives so they talk to us about things like family problems, bullying, self-harm and depression. “For most children, Christmas is a happy time, but for others it can be lonely and upsetting. We want to be there for every child who needs us.”
Post a picture of yourself in your hat on Facebook or Twitter with #bobblehatday and text BOBBLE to 70744 to make a £2 donation.
