The Eastwood Christmas lights will be switched on Tuesday, November 22.
There will be a packed programme of entertainment and activities before the lights are switched on at The Hollies at 6.45pm, where there will also be a firework display.
Townsfolk can enjoy a craft market, Christmas carols, craft workshops and fairground rides, plus live music and street entertainment with the Runaway Christmas Fairy, Arctic Explorers and Jumping Jack Frost.
Santa will be in his magical grotto at Eastwood library.
The event is organised by Broxtowe Borough Council in partnership with Eastwood Town Council and a steering group made up of local people, councillors, business owners and schools.
Asda Langley Mill donated £2,000 towards the event.
The Brinsley Christmas lights will be switched on Saturday, November 26.
At 4pm there will be carol singing at St James Church and afterwards a variety of stalls at the parish hall.
The lights will be turned on at 5.45pm in the parish hall car park where there will also be a firework display.
