A CRAFT fair was held by Nuthall Parish Council to mark the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion.
Council clerk Sue Stack was a driving force behind the event which took place at the Temple Centre in Nottingham Road and raised £450 for the legion.
Richard Dodge, a member of the legion’s Eastwood branch, said: “We are extremely grateful to Nuthall Parish Council for their support.”
There were stalls selling cards, bird feed, jewellery, cosmetics and pictures and members of the legion went along to do a raffle and give out information about what the organisation is all about.
It was the second craft fair the council had organised. The first one was for Children In Need and raised £275.
Ms Stack said: “It was a very positive day. The council wants to support local charities and the legion is one we feel very passionate about.
“Good causes like the Royal British Legion are always worth helping.”
