More than 50 of Kimberley’s senior citizens shared an afternoon of festive fun at the Pensioners Association’s annual Christmas party.
The day included a grand prize draw, a raffle, bingo sessions and entertainment provided by Ken Rhodes.
Residents were joined by several councillors and Broxtowe Mayor Stan Heptinstall. Broxtowe Borough councillor Ken Rigby also took the opportunity to present the group with a cheque for £200.
The buffet lunch and Christmas party was co-ordinated by Kimberley Pensioner’ Association leader Anne Carr who thanked the borough council for their ongoing support.
She added: “We have enjoyed a very successful year and thanks to people such as cllr Rigby we are able to look after the elderly of the community which has played its part in the success of the town.”
