Lexie donates 400 Easter eggs to make sure no child goes without in Eastwood
A determined five-year-old single-handedly donated almost 400 Easter eggs to people in need around Eastwood.
Lexie Watson completed 30 star jumps every day in March to raise money to buy Easter eggs for local good causes.
In the end, the youngster raised £350 and donated 398 eggs – three trollies full.
These were given to Morrisons in Eastwood for distribution around the community ahead of Easter.
Lexie’s mum Claire King said: “Her school put her on the top of the school heroes board and gave her an Easter egg of her own. She did amazingly.”
