STAFF at a dental practice in Eastwood dressed in pink pyjamas for the day to raise money for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.
Eastwood Dental Centre in Nottingham Road raised £1,000 in aid of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.
As well as being sponsored to dress in their pjs for the day, workers raised extra money with a raffle, a guess the name of the dog game, selling pink cakes and collecting in their pink collection buckets.
Practice manager Niki Draper said: “We were really chuffed with how much we raised because I had a rough figure of £500 in my head before we started out.”
Niki wanted to raise money for breast cancer research because her daughter’s sister-in-law had the disease, as did an employee at the surgery. “We felt it was important,” she said.
