Nottinghamshire Police Authority has re-elected Cllr Jon Collins as its chairman.
Mr Collins was re-appointed by authority members last week at the authority’s annual general meeting.
He took over the helm a year ago during re-organisation following the highly critical Capability Review in March 2010.
Crime in the county is now at its lowest for 30 years and is falling at three times the national average.
The force recorded the largest reduction in burglary, robbery and ‘all crime’ in England and Wales between April and December 2010.
