A PUBLIC meeting is being held in Eastwood to tell residents about a commissioning group taking over responsibility of health care when primary care trusts are abolished.
The Nottingham West NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will hold two events in the borough, one in Eastwood and one in Beeston, to tell residents how they plan to develop a ‘patient-led NHS’ when the Government abolishes PCTs in April 2013.
The CCG, made up of 12 GP practices in Broxtowe, will discuss how people will be able to join patient groups and have their say on consultations.
Head of CCG Dr Mansford said: “It’s a really exciting time for the NHS. This is an excellent opportunity for our local community to find out more about the changes, and to debate issues that really matter to them.
Eastwood’s event will take place at St Mary’s Church in Church Street on December 1 at 7pm. People can register their place by calling 0115 883 5224 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
