KIMBERLEY Scouts are holding a fundraising event this Saturday with a quirky unseasonal Christmas theme.

The event is called ‘Christmas Down Under’ and will raise money for Scouts, Guides Brownies, Cubs and Rainbows.

One of the helpers Kim Allcock said: “We just thought it would be something different for them.

“Because in Australia the weather is hot at Christmas we thought we would do it now, during our warm weather, for something different.”

The fundraiser will be held at Kettlebrook Lodge in Eastwood Road and will start at 7pm.

There will be a bouncy castle, disco, games, and a tombola

The children will get a present from Santa and the parents are being treated to a glass of seasonal tropical punch.

People can go in fancy dress.

The entry fee is £2.50.
