Rumbletums would like to appoint up to four new trustees at the registered charity.
The café and training project is a successful social enterprise delivering valuable training to young adults with learning disabilities.
The charity is seeking trustees to step forward between noe and July 31.
As well as serving excellent food and drinks, Rumbletums, in Victoria Street, Kimberley, trains vocational and life skills and offers valuable work experience placements to people who would otherwise find it hard to find work due to their disabilities.
A Trustee Jeff Buck said: “Every time you pay us a visit you are helping us continue to provide much needed support, training, work experience and friendship to these young people.
“You’ll also be making a valuable contribution to the local community and economy.”
As a trustee of Rumbletums, you would use your skills and experience to make sure the organisation runs efficiently, to sustain and further develop its services and activities and support and advise the staff team as and when necessary or appropriate.
The charity said: “Our trustees make sure the organisation is running well and is doing what it was set up to do. This includes ensuring that we set the overall strategic direction, aims and objectives for Rumbletums, adopt the highest standards of governance spend our money sensibly, on the activities it was raised forand follow the law, including preparing reports and accounts to send to the Charity Commission.”
Rumbletums is also a company limited by guarantee and so anyone appointed as a trustee will also become a director of the company. The maximum personal liability attached to this is £10.
