Runner raises over £200

A KEEN runner has raised over £200 for a care home in Selston where his mum works.

The 25 year-old from Ilkeston wanted to raise money for Millington Springs Care Home in Portland Road, where his mum, Liz Johnson-Clarke is the Deputy Manager.

Liam was due to run the Clowne Half Marathon, but it was cancelled because of bad weather. Undeterred, he mapped his own route when the weather cleared up and went ahead with a half marathon anyway.

Liam is still collecting money for the home.

If anybody would like to donate they should send a cheque to Liz Johnson-Clarke, Millington Springs, Portland Road, Selston, Nottingham, NG16 6AN.
