Following the recent inspection of Selston High School on March 5 students are celebrating the news that the school has been graded as ‘good’ with many outstanding features.

Selston High School re-branded from its predecessor school in September 2012, which had never reached the good grading standard.

Headteacher Kevin Gaiderman stated, “As a school we are delighted with the report and can officially celebrate our new status as a good school. The progress we have made during the past two years has been exceptional and I would like to thank the staff, governors, parents and of course the students in achieving this grade. It comes at a time when the benchmark for becoming a good school has risen to its highest ever level under the toughest inspection framework set by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate.”
